Baked Apple: So Delicious and so Easy to Make

11/24/2016

Baked Apple
Not sure how I ever forgot about this dessert.  Now that I've rediscovered it, I've been eating a baked apple almost daily.  It has all my favorite qualities: quick and easy to make, minimal ingredients, natural, and healthy!
This snack is sure to satisfy even the sweetest of sweet tooths.  And your kitchen will smell amazing!!

Here's how to make it:

1. Take an apple and slice it down the center.  The softer apples work best.  Golden Delicious apples are particularly good for baking but I've also used Pink Lady apples with much success.
2. Take a spoon and scoop out the pits in the center and cut off the stem.
3. Sprinkle with cinnamon (feel free to also add nutmeg, cardamon, etc.)
4. Bake in an oven at 4oo degrees Farenheit for approximately 15-20 mintues.  You will know it is done when it becomes very soft and bubbly and you can penetrate the apple easily with a fork.

You can also add a little bit of yogurt on top of your baked apple for a little something extra.

Enjoy!
